Karnataka Common Entrance Test KCET To Go Online From 2017

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is said to go online from the next academic year 2017-18. KCET is an entrance examination conducted for admissions into under-graduate professional courses in Karnataka. Now, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has decided to conduct the examinations online.

According to sources, all procedures of KCET have been moved online, which also includes document verification. Thus, the KEA is now looking at conducting the examination online as well. The KEA has said, to contemplate the changes, the examination will be conducted both online and offline for the first year and then it shall moved online completely.

KCET To Go Online From 2017

According to the KEA officials, the main concern to make KCET online is the managing rural students, as most of the students who take CET are from rural parts of the state. Students who take up KCET also take up examinations like CAT and JEE which are online, hence, the KEA officials believe that making KCET as an online test will be beneficial.

According to reports, if the government of Karnataka approves this proposal from the KEA
