The results of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2017 has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Candidates can check it out on JEE official website.
How to check JEE Main 2017 Results?
In order to check the JEE main 2017 results, candidates must follow the steps listed below:
- Log on to the official website jeemain.nic.in
- Click on the link, 'JEE Mains Results 2017'
- Fill in your roll number and date of birth
- Click Submit
- The results will be displayed on the screen
- Save it to your computer and take a printout for future use
When was JEE Main 2017 held?
- The pen-paper based JEE Main exam was held on April 2.
- The computer-based JEE Main exam was held on April 8 and April 9.
JEE Main 2017 Exam Paper Pattern
There were three parts in JEE Main question paper A, B and C consisting of physics, chemistry and mathematics having 30 questions each in each part of the equal weightage. Each question was allotted four marks for the correct response. The test was held for a duration of three hours.
Merit list
CBSE will publish a separate merit list comprising All India Rank and Home State Rank based on the JEE Main score which can be opted by the students for their desired engineering colleges like NIT, IIIT and Central Funded Technical Institutes.
About JEE
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE), New Delhi introduced the national level common entrance exam called Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
JEE is conducted by the JEE Apex Board for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions. The Joint Entrance Exam will be conducted in two parts, JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. JEE (Main) replaces the AIEEE entrance exam and JEE (Advanced) replaced the IIT-JEE entrance exam from 2013.
