The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2014 first day (computer based) online examination was held on 09th April 2014 in 281 cities across the country.
The online examination was conducted in two shifts, morning shift from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM and another shift in afternoon from 2 PM to 5 PM.
JEE Main 2014 Offline Examination Analysis
Around 1.72 lakh candidates had appeared for the first day of JEE Main 2014 online examination.
According to the students, they found that the online examination paper was easy as compared with the offline examination.
Students found simple and straightforward questions in both Mathematics and Chemistry subjects.
Except for a few toughies in Chemistry, the exams were easy," said Narayanan V Baradwaj, a student of DAV Boys Senior Secondary School in Gopalapuram.
Some of the students felt that Physics paper was as easy as compared with the written paper.
JEE Main 2014 online examination paper contained a total of 90 questions. 30 questions for each Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. Students were given three hours to complete the paper.
Students across the Delhi found that Physics paper was the toughest, Chemistry was easy and Mathematics was moderate in difficulty.
One of the students in Delhi said, "Physics and Maths carried more questions from 11th standard and less from 12th. Chemistry showed a balance of questions from 11th and 12th class."
Important Instructions for JEE Main 2014 Online Examination
The next set of online examinations will be held on 11th, 12th and 19th April 2014. JEE Main 2014 results will be announced on 03rd May 2014.
