The department of education in Jammu and Kashmir has come up with an interesting activity for school students. With the abundant snow fall happening in the state since last week, making snow craft is an art that many of those citizens would have now by hearted. To those of them who can get creative with the snow, the J and K government has announced rewards.
Prize Money for the snow art competition
- The winner of this competition will get one lakh rupees as the prize award
- A variety of other unique prizes are also there for other winners and runners
How to participate in the snow art competition?
- Students should make snowman, snow sculpture or any other form of snow art
- Click photographs of the done art in three different angles
- Mail the photos to the education department at innovationdsek@gmail.com
Note: The entries should have the complete details of the participants including name, residential address, contact number and most importantly theme of the art submitted for the competition

"We want to see the creative side of the students. There are many students who are extremely good at making things out of snow, which is available in abundance. So we want to encourage the students," said Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, director of School Education Department, Kashmir.
A statement from the education department says, "All snow art works created after January 6, 2017, the day of first major snowfall of this season, shall be eligible for the contest," adding that the competition shall be at different levels in the entire winter zone of the state, including higher secondary level, district level and finally at the state level, with prizes to be awarded to the winners at each of these stages.
