The dates for the physical endurance test (PET) and physical standard test (PST) for the Jammu and Kashmir Police SI recruitment have been released. It will be conducted from 13 May 2017. Candidates must go through the details of the tests properly and prepare accordingly.

Graduate, in any discipline, from a recognized University.
Age
The candidate must be within the age group of 18-28 years as on 1st day of January 2016.
(The candidates born before 01.01.1988 and after 31.12.1997 shall not be eligible.) However, inservice police personnel, upto the upper age limit of 30 years.
Physical Standards
For male candidates
- Height = 5'-6"(min.)
- Chest = 32"(un-expanded)
- 33½"(expanded)
For female candidates
- Height = 5'-2"(min.)
- (However, for male candidates belonging to Leh/Kargil districts and Gorkha community, the minimum height shall be 5'-4" while for females the same shall be 5')

Education

Selection process
Those candidates who qualify the PET and PST will be called for written test.
Exam Pattern
The written test will comprise of a total of 85 marks and will be objective type. Candidates will be allowed 2 hours for the test. The duration of the exam will be two hours and will be graduation level.
Admit Cards
Candidates must download admit cards from the official website of J & K Police at jkpolice.gov.in. The admit card will carry detailed information about the exact date and venue of the PET and PST. In addition to this candidates must also regularly visit the official website and local daily newspapers for regular updates in this regard.
