ITM- IHM inaugurates the new academic year in a never seen before way!

The new batch was welcomed 'aboard' by the senior batch with much fanfare-

Mumbai, August 2016: The new academic year was inaugurated by ITM - IHM, Oshiwara and Navi Mumbai in a special themed way that was thoughtfully put up by the senior batch of the course. A four day induction and orientation program was organized by the students where hospitality professionals shared their insights to these young aspirants who have enrolled for the course. The four day program was based on the theme "Atithi Devo Bhava" - Incredible India.

The Inauguration and Orientation program had hospitality professionals sharing their insights with the young aspirants who have enrolled for the course. The inaugural event was planned, coordinated and executed by the second year students as they wanted to extend a warm welcome to the freshers.

"Eager faces of the new entrants having a million dreams of transforming themselves into Hospitality Professionals, expectant expressions of guardians and the reassuring and motivating words of Hospitality Professionals marked the Inauguration of The new academic year at ITM - IHM, Oshiwara and Navi Mumbai was indeed a memorable one,'' said Maureen Lobo (Dean - Academics ITM-IHM).

Since the theme of the program was 'Athithi Devo Bhava'- Incredible India, the lunch was a wide spread of snacks from the four zones of India ( East - West - North - South).

The program which was spread across four days, witnessed professionals from the Hotel industry - Ms. Prajnaya Shetty - Sr. HR Manager - Oberoi Hotels and Ms. Anita Elavia from Taj Hotels, Mr Salil Desai - HR Director of Sofitel Hotel, Director of Talent and Culture, Sofitel Luxury Hotels, Mr Gaurav Magoo, Food and Beverage Director of Novotel, Imagica, Chef Joy Bhattacharya Executive Chef Trident Hotels, Mr. Anup Agarwal from Thomas Cook as they shared their pearls of wisdom with the students.

The curtains dropped on the program with Chef Ranveer Brar sharing how important it is to "Serve with a smile, Right Attitude with hard work" and enlightened the students with his journey.
