If you have passion for sports, you will now have access to scholarships that will fund study in New Zealand for sports-related programmes.
Former New Zealand Cricket captain Stephen Fleming and New Zealand High Commissioner to India, Grahame Morton are encouraging Indian students to take up this opportunity.
The New Zealand Government's agency for international education and Education New Zealand are inviting applications from citizens of India who have secured a place in sport and exercise science or sports management programmes at a New Zealand university or institute of technology for study in 2015.
Higher education in New Zealand provides students with new ways of thinking so that they can relate with global activities.
Stephen Fleming who is also coach for Chennai Super Kings says, international sport is a competitive field and there are ever growing career opportunities, in addition to actually being a sports-person.
"Studying sports programmes in New Zealand will give Indian students access to world-class knowledge in a rapidly expanding industry where New Zealand has expertise related to developing talent in areas as diverse as sports management professionals and elite coaches, through to sports nutrition specialists and exercise science experts."
The scholarships are available for Indian students enrolling to study bachelor or postgraduate qualifications in New Zealand. Successful will be funded for the first year tuition fees of full-time study with an additional NZ$15,000 stipend will also be paid them during that year.
The New Zealand India sports scholarships are a partnership between Education New Zealand and the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
