A noted increase has been observed in the placement percentage of the top B-schools in India. Two companies hired more than a 100 students each, this year. Cognizant has recruited 141 MBAs, while ICICI has recruited 131. A spokesperson from Cognizant said that they always have a huge requirement for for MBAs from the top schools, as their contribution towards the company is immense.

Some of the other top recruiters of 2014 were Deloitte, Wipro, HCL, Accenture, Goldman Sachs, RIL, Flipkart and Amazon, to name a few. Cognizant still holds the first position for hiring the maximum number of MBA students from top B-schools.

The companies which hired the most number of IIM graduates are Accenture with 43, Boston Consulting Group with 40, Amazon with 31, Mckinsey & Co with 26 and Cognizant with 20 recruits.

The last couple of years had seen a stark decrease in the number of MBAs being recruited by top companies, disheartening a lot of students across the country. This year's placement numbers have brought about renewed hope for MBA aspirants.
