IIM Udaipur to increase intake of seats and fee

Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Udaipur has increased the number of seats for the session 2015-16 from 120 to 150.

IIM Udaipur is also planning to increase the fee structure by 17%, which is from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 9.3 lakh.

This year, IIM Udaipur is the coordinating body for the admissions to IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Tiruchirappalli and IIM Rohtak.

The Director of IIM Udaipur, Janat Shah said, "The number of seats has increased as we can now accommodate more students with the appointment of new faculty members and infrastructure facilities."

The cutoff marks for these IIMs would be 97 percentile. The candidates with the score below the 97 percentile in CAT 2014 cannot participate in the admission to these IIMs.

A total of 816 seats are available in these IIMs. Around 10,000 candidates, would be called for WAT, GD and PI. The admission process would begin from mid-February and will end mid-March 2015.

IIM Udaipur has decided to give an advantage to the female candidates and non-engineers. IIMU has awarded 50% weightage to CAT score, 30% of PI and WAT, 20% for personal profile that includes academic background (40%), work experience (30%), Preference to women candidates (15%) and non-engineers (15%).
