The Hyderabad high court has directed the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad to physically inspect the engineering and pharmacy colleges across Telangana, to know the facilities offered to the students.
Justice C V Nagarjuna Reddy has passed an order to the inspect the colleges. These are the colleges which offer admission to Postgraduate (PG) courses in engineering and pharmacy streams.
Earlier, some of the group members had filed a petition against these engineering and pharmacy colleges on the admission PG courses.

As per the HC, the University had already issued deficiency notices to 124 engineering and 40 pharmacy colleges seeking particulars about the facilities, teaching, non-teaching members, library, laboratories etc., which is provided to the students.

It requires one month to inspect all these colleges and to submit a report to the court. Meanwhile, the court granted 4 weeks time to the university for physical inspection and they have to submit the report on November 17, 2014.
