Huge scholarship to come for India from British Council.

The British Council has proclaimed its biggest scholarship agenda ever for India. It had about 370 scholarships which are almost 1 million pounds worth for 260 courses in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland for under-graduation and post-graduation.

The GREAT Career Guide, which showcases articles dealing with the subjects most favoured by students in India who aspire to study in UK and its available opportunities, was also released by the British Council, as said in a press statement. GREAT was launched in February 2012. It is a tactical international promoting agenda devised to boost UK in the fields of tourism, business and student markets throughout the world in order to intensify UK's global status.

British Council gives huge scholarships to India

The Education UK exhibition which is held at Mumbai will make this available for the students . The Counsellor (Prosperity) of British High Commission in New Delhi, Andrew Soper said, "We want India's brightest and best students to come and study at our universities in the UK...There are no limits on the numbers who can come and you can stay on to work in the UK after your study in a graduate level job."

The exhibition will be held for the entire day and set to inform about UK's under-graduation, post-graduation and research programmes. Also an insight about the student life and culture will be provided. 70 UK universities are participating in the exhibiting and it will also have a stall for UK Visas and Immigration. 

Rob Lynes, the director of British Council India said, "With the launch of the GREAT Scholarship and GREAT Career guide, we aim to empower aspiring Indian students to choose the right course in the UK,"

After Mumbai, the exhibition will be held in Bangalore, New Delhi and Kolkata. Out of almost 400,000 foreign students who study in the institutions of UK annually, 30,000 are from India at present
