Chandigarh, July 20, 2015: Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU) is starting its third agriculture college in the state from the current academic session.
The college would be established at Bawal in Rewari district in the Regional Research Station of the institute, a university spokesman said today.
The decision to start the college was taken in the meeting of the Academic Council under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor K S Khokhar.
The University is already providing agricultural education at its colleges in Hisar and Kaul, the spokesman sai.
Meanwhile, Registrar M S Dahiya said that the college will offer a four-year BSc. (Hons) programme in agriculture.
The 25 seats of the college will be filled through same counselling, scheduled on July 23 for BSc (Hons) in agriculture at Hisar and Kaul, the spokesman said.
The college will have reservation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories as per the rules.
He said that this will provide an opportunity of quality agriculture education to the youth of that area of Haryana.
