Goa CET 2016: Examination Dates Released

Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2016 dates have been released by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa.

  • The GCET exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 10. 2016 and 11, 2016
  • Physics and Chemistry will be held on May 10, 2016 while Biology and Mathematics will be conducted on May 11, 2016

The common entrance state level  test, is conducted to offer admission to the 1st year professional degree courses in Medical, Dental, Engineering, Pharmacy, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Allied Health Sciences and Nursing fields in the state.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates should have completed Class 12 or equivalent having English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology/Biotechnology as the subjects
  • Candidate should from Goa state, having valid domicile of Goa

How to Apply?

  • Candidates have to download the application form (Form A and/or Form B/B1) from the official website
  • Filled in application form should be submitted at the following address: 

1. Ravindra Bhavan, Margao (For South Goa District GCET Exam Centres, including Ponda)
2. Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim (For North Goa District GCET Exam Centres)
Important dates

Exam Pattern:

  • Paper-pen based test will have be four papers- Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.
  • The duration of each paper will be of 2 hours.
  • For every correct answer, one mark will be awarded. There will be no negative marking for wrong or multiple answers.
  • The question paper will be of objective type
  • Each subject consists of 75 marks

Important Dates:

  • Last date to submit application form: April 2, 2016
  • The last date to receive application at D.T.E. and collect admit cards (with late fees) is April 29, 2016
