FMS, Delhi Final Placements Report 2014

Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi has announced the final placements report 2014.

The FMS has had a legacy of securing stellar placements, both in terms of the compensation and the wide variety of profiles on offer.

This year's placement season has continued this legacy, securing 212 offers for a batch where 205 students participated in the placement process, ensuring 100% placements. 37 first-time recruiters visited the campus this season.

Around 107 companies visited the FMS campus for placement. A total of 217 students attended the placements process. The average salary offered is Rs. 16.18 lakhs.

Among the students opting out of placements, 4 of them chose to pursue entrepreneurial ventures. One such venture, Commerce Labs LLC, develops software plugins for e-commerce websites, while another deals with the procurement and sale of sporting goods.

The rest of the students who opted out of the placement process chose to pursue their careers in civil services and other alternatives.

45% of the candidates participating in the process had greater than 18 months of work experience and were part of the lateral placement process. PPOs accounted for a fifth of the offers made.
