What is NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT)?

NMAT (NMIMS Management Aptitude Test) is an entrance examination which is conducted by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Mumbai for admissions to its MBA courses.

Programmes offered: The programmes which are offered are full Time MBA, MBA(Banking), MBA (Capital Market), MBA(HR), & MBA(Pharmaceutical Management) at Mumbai campus and 2-year full-time PGDM at Bengaluru and Hyderabad campuses.

NMAT Exam Format: The NMAT exam is in the format of multiple-choice questions. Questions in the examination are to test the candidates skills in the following criteria like language skills, quantitative skills, data interpretation and data sufficiency and logical reasoning.

NMAT Eligibility Criteria: The examination can be taken by candidates who meet the eligibility criteria defined by NMIMS. For a candidate to be eligible for NMAT he/she should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregrate.

NMAT Application Procedure: To apply for NMAT, candidates have to login to the NMIMS website or that of Pearson Vue. The application procedure for NMAT is available on their website. Candidates can retake the examination with a gap of minimum 15 days between 2 NMAT schedules.

NMAT Exam Pattern and Duration: The exam pattern of NMAT is a multiple choice objective type and is computer based. The exam duration if for 2 hours, there are 120 questions which will be divided into 3 sections Quantitative Ability, Language Skills and Logical Reasoning. There is no negative marking in the exam. The computer based NMAT exam will be conducted by Pearson Vue.

NMAT Selection Procedure: Candidates will get admission only if they meet the required standards which is defined in the selection process by NMIMS. Candidates who are shortlisted will have to appear for Case discussion and personal interview sessions which will be held in Mumbai only.
