National Board of Examinations Announces DNB-CET 2016 Exam Dates

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the exam dates for DNB-CET 2016 entrance examination. DNB-CET 2016 examination is scheduled to be held from November 28, to December 1, 2015. DNB-CET is a national level entrance examinations and is conducted for entry to DNB Broad Specialty and Post MBBS Direct 6 years super specialty courses. DNB-CET is conducted by NBE twice a year (January and July session).

How to apply:
Candidates can register online.
Candidates have the option of choosing their centre, date and time through online registration and scheduling system.

Eligibility:
Candidates must have MBBS degree/provisional pass certificate recognised as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possess permanent / provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India/ State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship/likely to complete on or before January 31, 2016 are eligible to apply for DNB-CET examination through online application.

NBE Announces DNB-CET 2016 Exam Dates

Paper pattern:

  • The paper will have 300 MCQ questions.
  • There will be no negative marking.

Syllabus:
The Syllabus for the exam shall comprise of subjects /knowledge areas as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India with prior approval of Government of India. The candidates who will clear the DNB-CET shall be asked to participate in a Centralized merit based counseling conducted by National Board of Examinations for allotment of DNB seats at NBE accredited institutions/hospitals/medical colleges in order of their merit and candidates shall be able to opt for the NBE accredited institution/hospital/medical college of their choice as per availability at their merit.
