Candidates seeking admission to IITs must meet the JEE Advanced 2024 qualifying criterion. Furthermore, candidates can check their jEE Advanced Eligibility grades to see how many points they need to get in the Class 12 Test.

Candidates must score in the top 20% in their qualifying examination category.

Candidates should include their scores in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Language, and one more course when determining their aggregate marks.

Process of Total Marks Calculation for 12th (or equivalent) Examination.

If a subject's grades are not out of 100, they will be scaled (up or down) to 100, marking the total aggregate marks out of 500.

If a Board only gives letter grades without providing an equal percentage of marks on the grade sheet, the canddiates must receive a certificate from the Board detailing the comparable marks and submit it when accepting the allocated seat. If the candidate fails to deliver the certificate, the Joint Implementation Committe will make the ultimate judegement.

If any of the subjects, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Language are not evaluated in the final year, the marks from the proceding years will be utilised to calculate the percentage of aggregate marks.

Candidates who took the 12th standard (or equivalent) board examination for the first time in 2022 and then retook it in all subjects in 2023 should be aware that the best of the two results will be considered.

If a Board assigns aggregate marks based on the both 11th and 12th grade examinations, only the 12th grade marks will be evaluated.

If a Board awards aggregate scores for all three years of a three-year diploma or courses of equal duration, only the grades earned in the final year will be considered. Similarly, for Boards that use a semester system, the final two semesters' grades will be evaluated.

If a Board does not reveal individual subject marks but only the aggregate marks, the aggregate marks issued by the Board will be used.
