Assam Board declares the HSLC/ AHM Exam time-table 2014

Assam Board's HSL/ AHM Exam time-table 2014 is out

The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has declared the time-table HSLC/ AHM Class 10th examination 2014. Candidates can now have a first look of the new time-table by logging on to the official website of SEBA.

Every year, SEBA conducts Class 10 High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Exam/ Assam High Madrassa (AHM) examinations. This year this examination will be held in February/ March 2014. According to the time-table, the examination will start from 13th February, 2014 and will end on 6th March, 2014. The first paper will be of Social Science and last will be practical examinations of subjects like Garment Designing, Cane and Bamboo Technology, Music, Dance, Home Science, Agriculture, Textile Design & Clothing and Wood Craft.

As per the schedule, students will be given 3 hours for each subject. The timings of the examination is 9 AM to 12 PM. However, each student will get 10 min extra to go through the question paper.

The Assam Secondary Education Act, 1961 (Assam Act, XXV of 1961) was passed to provide for the establishment of a Board of Secondary Education to regulate, supervise and develop Secondary Education in the State of Assam. The Act came into force with effect from 29th January, 1962 with the publication of Government of Assam, Education Department Notification no. 159/61/37 dated 29/1/1962. Thus the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (popularly known as SEBA) came into existence on 14 March, 1962. It started functioning with the conduct of 11 year H.S.S.L.C. Examination of 1962. Under the provisions of the Act the Govt. of Assam constituted the Board with Sri S.C. Rajkhowa, D.P.I., Assam as Chairman and Md. N. Islam, Inspector of Schools (Central Assam Circle) as Secretary.
