AMU to conduct Engineering Entrance Examination 2014

Aligarh Muslim University, will be conducting its Engineering Entrance Examination for the academic year 2014. Every year, university conducts this examination in order to select candidates for its Engineering programmes. Eligible students can apply online by logging on to the official website of the university. The selection of candidates for the admission to the programmes will be made based on the merits of candidates in both qualifying examination and Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by the University.

Exam pattern:

There will be a total of 150 Questions and 3 Hours to complete it.Questions will be of multiple choices of 1 mark each.There is a negative marking where every wrong answer gets 0.25 mark, deducted which can also be calculated as one fourth deduction.

Eligibility:

The eligibility criteria of the AMU 2014 Engineering Entrance Exam differ according to the course a candidate is opting for.

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)

Minimum aggregate of 50% in class XII or other qualifying exams recognised by the state with subjects in Mathematics, English, Chemistry and Physics.

or

Candidate must have a Diploma in Engineering with minimum aggregate of 50% from AMU.

Bachelor of Engineering (BE Evening College)

Candidate must have cleared a Diploma in Engineering with minimum aggregate of 50% recognized by the AMU to be eligible.

How to apply:

Candidates can fill the application form online by logging on to the official website of AMU. Instructions for filling the form is given on the website. Candidate needs to make sure that he/ she fills the form in an appropriate manner.After filling the form, candidates need to prepare a Demand Draft of Rs. 500/-, favouring 'Finance Office, AMU, Aligarh' payable at Aligarh. Candidates can also pay the amount in cash at Finance office of AMU.
