The European Union Delegation to India is organising a higher education fair at Bangalore on December 01, 2014 to promote the quality of education offered to the postgraduate and Ph.D students in European universities.
Around 100 European higher education institutions from 23 countries are participating in the Education fair at Bangalore. The fair will be held from November 30 to December 1, followed by Bengaluru on December 3 and Kolkata on December 5.
The European Union Delegation and Head of Operations Dr Johann Hesse said that Europe has more than 4,000 educational institutions with more than 19 million students and 1.5 million academicians, which also includes 4.35 lakh researchers.
The fair will be held for the Indian students to know more about the scholarships opportunities available in Europe for study abroad. Around 3,400 Indian students had received a scholarship from Erasmus Mundus Scholarship programme funded by the EU between 2004-2013.
This Education fair will help the Indian students on Student VISA, admissions requirements and choice of courses.
The Germany and Finland will not charge fee for higher education, but students have to make arrangements for their living expenses.
The EU fair will feature universities from 23 EU countries, i.e., UK, Germany, France and more. These are three most popular higher education destination for Indian students.
