According to sources, Delhi University is likely to release its second cutoff marks list today, in the evening.
All the focus of DU affiliated colleges are on the DU second cutoff list. Students can expect significant decrease in the cutoff marks for B.A, B.Sc and B.Com programmes.
The restoration of the three year UG course has made admissions slow down. But, all the colleges don't have seats for admissions to all the courses.
Some of the colleges have already closed down their admission to B.Com (hons), Political Science, History, Economics and English honours.
St Stephen's College had already released its first shortlisted candidates and set deadline for admission on July 5.
Colleges like, Lady Shri Ram College, Sri Venkateswara, Miranda House, Indraprastha College for Women and some other colleges will admit students in a majority of its courses.
On Day 1 of admissions at DU, the number of students admitted had gone down. Only 84 students had get admitted to Deen Dayal Upadhaya college.
"Programme courses will remain open. But, with 70 admissions against 40 seats, English will be closed. History, zoology and microbiology admissions, too, have been more than the number of seats and are likely to close after the first list. The rest will remain open but cutoffs will drop marginally," acting principal of Gargi College Sashi Tyagi said.
There is no second cutoff list for Psychology course at LSR. Even, Shivaji college closes its admissions to English and Geography. SRCC has kept admissions open for B.Com.
