Degrees will be awarded to 75k students during MGKV convocation

Varanasi: 75,304 students of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth (MGKV) will be awarded degrees during the convocation ceremony that will be held on 28th of
December. Dalveer Bhandari, former justice of the Supreme Court and presently a member of the International Court of Justice, will be the chief guest.

MGKV convocation- 75k students to get degrees

Prithvish Nag, vice chancellor or MGKV, said that 226 research scholars, 50,060 undergraduates, 17,244 postgraduates and DLit student will be given degrees. In the name of the erstwhile, Kashi Naresh, a special medal will be give. Vibhuti Narayan Singh has been initiated and will be given for the first time this year. Smriti Giri of the Sanskrit department is the first winner of this medal. She has the highest score in the university, for which, a gold medal will be awarded. For students who were extraordinary in sports, 3 medals will be awarded. Apart from this, post graduate students will be awarded 39 gold medals and 12 gold medals will be given to under graduates. On Friday, rehearsal for the final event will be done.
