Dates announced for Common entrance tests

Hyderabad: According to the Andra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), notifications for Eamcet for admissions into state's medical and engineering colleges, will be out on 10th of February, the exam will be conducted on May 17th, and the results will be announced on 2nd June.

The dates of the common entrance tests were announced on Thursday. ICET for enrollment to MBA and MCA courses will be conducted on May 23rd and the results will be available on June 9th. On February 14th, notification for ICET will be announced.

On May 10th, ECET for enrollment to diploma course in engineering will be conducted. February 4th the notifications for the same will be available. EdCET for BEd college admissions will be conducted on May 2nd, results for which will be announced on June 23rd.

For admissions to the state's law colleges; LawCET and PGLCET will be conducted on June 8th, results for which will be announced on June 19th. For post graduate diploma in engineering; PGECET will be conducted from May 26th to 29th, results for this will be announced on June 17th. For admissions to physical education courses; PECET will be conducted on May 5th. The results for the same will be announced a week after the exam. PolyCET, required for admissions to polytechnic colleges will be conducted on May 21st 2014 and results will be announced on June 5th 2014.

Venugopal Reddy, chairman of APSCHE, made the announcements. He said, "The dates of the examinations may be altered if any of the public holidays declared for 2014 general or assembly elections overlap with the schedule. This includes polling day and counting day. Alternate dates will be announced in such cases."

Meanwhile, at the press conference venue, Telangana Vidyarthi Yojna's students raised slogans demanding officials s to take necessary measures avoid cheating in CETs.
