Credit Transfer System will be introduced from class 09th to Ph.D

HRD Minister to introduce Credit Transfer System

The Union Human Resource Development (MHRD) Minister Smriti Irani will introduce a new Credit Transfer System (CTS). It will be applicable for the students from class 09th to Ph.D level.

 

The new CTS details will be revealed on November 11, 2014. The facility will provide enough credits to aspirants, enabling them to return to the university system.

According to the HRD Ministry, changes in the Indian education system will be introduced, which will take Indian to new heights. Ministry seeks students opinion to improve the India's New Education Policy (NEP).

The central government is working with the officials to implement the NEP from 2015.

The NEP is expected to help the educational institutes meet various challenges arising out of their deficiency in quality, innovation and research. Although decision making on education had been restricted to politicians till recently, people from different walks of life will now be involved with the policy-making for the sector due to the changing face of education in India in recent years.
