Counselling for diploma courses starts in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Odisha: Diploma entrance test (DET) 2014, were announced 3 days ago, the counselling process for admissions into various diploma courses began on Wednesday. The counselling process is for admission into various diploma courses in 29 government and 100 private polytechnic colleges.

Students are asked to stat their priorities in 34 nodal centres for admissions into 41,000 seats in various institutions of the state. The documents will be verified at the nodal centres from June 16 to 26. The allotment of seats will be completed by June 30, sources said.

This year out of the total 62, 864 applicants, 42,319 students have cleared the DET-2014. In the lateral entry category out the total 21,120 students, 18,880 students cleared the test. In non-engineering category out of the total 846 applicants, 601 cleared the written test, sources added.
