COMEDK UGET 2017 Counselling Procedure Made Online

COMEDK UGET 2017 counselling is no more a cumbersome process. Students need not wait in long queues for their turns, anxious about their choices with colleges. From this year, the allotment of engineering seats in private colleges is going online. Over 72,000 candidates have registered for COMEDK exam this year and they can choose their seats from the available 147 engineering colleges in Karnataka online.

According to the executive secretary of COMEDK, S Kumar, all processes, except the document verification process, will go online.

COMEDK UGET 2017 Counselling Fees

As a deposit fee for the counselling, students will have to pay Rs 5,000 before the option entry process. However, this fee would be taken as part of the fees for the first term, he said.

COMEDK UGET 2017 Online Counselling Process

The online counselling process would be similar to the Karnataka Examinations Authority's process, where students will be given time to enter options of engineering colleges and combinations, following which there will be mock allotment of seats. Candidates can then change their options if they wish. After this, there will be real allotment of seats.

About COMEDK UGET

The COMEDK UGET is state level entrance exam conducted by the Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka to offer admission to eligible candidates in the various engineering courses. The exam is conducted to determine the merit of students in an effective, fair and transparent testing procedure.

Presently 14 Medical, 25 Dental and more than 150 Engineering colleges, who make available almost 20,000 seats, are affiliated to COMEDK and utilize its testing mechanism for effecting admission to UG Programme during the academic year 2015-2016 Candidates who are interested and eligible for admission in under graduate courses in private medical and dental colleges of Karnataka can apply for the COMEDK UGET .
