Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar has launched a scheme named 'Arthik hal, Yuvaon ka Bal' for student's welfare. Three different schemes will be launched under this scheme aiming at improving the financial condition of youth.
The CM launched 'student credit card for providing education loan up to 4 lakh', 'Swayam Sahayata Bhatta' (unemployment allowance) and 'Kushal Yuva Karyakram' (Skill development). He said, "We have started implementing many of the promises made under seven resolves." Nitish Kumar had announced his seven resolves on the eve of Bihar polls.
"The work for implementation of all the schemes of seven resolves would be started by the time the government completes its one year in office when we will present report card," he added.
"The scheme would not only give an opportunity to students who could not pursue higher education because of poverty and inability to pay the fee but would also pep their morale", said Nitish Kumar.
The free wifi connectivity will be provided in all universities of Bihar by the end of February 2017. Under the 'Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana' (unemployment allowance) the students will get Rs. 1000 per month for two years for searching jobs.
There are two more schemes of 'Arthik Hal, Yuvao ka Bal' scheme - start policy and venture capital fund. The new start policy has been approved while provision for Rs. 500 crore has been earmarked for venture capital fund.
