Rajasthan Class X RBSE examinations begin today

Ajmer: Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education's (RBSE) Class X examinations begins today, i.e. 13th March, 2014. More than 11,41,572 students in Rajasthan will appear for the examinations. Stringent measures to avoid any malpractice have been deployed at every exam centre following the leakage of Class XII examination paper on WhatsApp.

The examination will be held between 8:30 am and 11:45 am, a morning session for the first time. 6,79,553 boys and 4,62,019 girls in total will appear for the exams. The examination will end on 24th March, 2014. The state has 5,204 examination centres. The Collector and Superintendent of Police in every district have received a request on Wednesday from the RBSE to verify the operations before the exam commences.

R K Meena, Administrator and Divisional Commissioner of Ajmer, said, "We have asked for extra vigilance in sensitive and hyper sensitive examination centres and have requested police to help in the checking so that students do not carry objectionable things to the exam hall."

299 flying squads have been constituted by the board and they have been directed by the board to reach the examination centres 45 minutes prior to the commencement of the exam. Additionally, squads of Education Department and District Administration will also monitor the examination. RBSE is concerned about students sneaking their mobile phones into the exam centers this time, and the flying squads have been instructed to monitor this very closely.
