CID Probe In Order For TS EAMCET-II Paper Leak: Telangana

On account of alleged question paper leak of TS EAMCET-II, Telangana Police Chief on Wednesday ordered a CID probe. Following a request of EAMCET convenor N.V. Ramana Rao, the Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Sharma asked the Crime Investigation Department (CID) to hold an inquiry into large scale of irregularities took place.

About TS EAMCET II Exam:

The phase 2 of TS EAMCET 2016 was held on July 9, 2016. About 50,964 candidates have appeared for the TS EAMCET-II-2016 examination out of the 56,153 registered.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad conducts TS EAMCET on behalf of the Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) for admissions into various MBBS and BDS courses offered for the academic session 2016-17.

TS EAMCET-II Paper Leak CID Probe Ordered

Deputy Chief Minister K. Srihari, said, that a department inquiry has also been ordered. The action came into light after parents and students' groups staged a protest demanding probe by the CBI.

The students' groups and parents raised doubts after many meritorious students failed to get good rank while students who did not perform well in EAMCET-I secured top ranks.

Deputy Chief Minister K. Srihari, who holds the education portfolio, and Minster for Medical and Health C. Laxma Reddy said a departmental inquiry had also been ordered following the complaints.
