Pune: There seems to be increase in demand to continue Centralised Admission Process (CAP) even after junior colleges were asked to give admissions directly from Tuesday onwards. Online process of admissions with CAP were concluded for standard XI.
Vikas Patil, president of the cultural wing of the state unit of Congress, said, "The online CAP system of giving admissions should not be stopped. If required, the authorities should conduct a fourth and even a fifth round until every student is allotted a seat."
Patil also added, for transparency in the admission process, with the exception of seats in the management quota, all the seats should be filled through online process only.
He also urged the authorities to take steps in order to curb the influence of agents in the admission process.
