CBSE: Writing/Drawing contest to mark Ambedkar's birth anniversary

CBSE will be organising writing/drawing contest in its latest expression series. The contest is being organised to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. BR Ambedkar.

As per the reports, the series will be held on April 13 and 14.

CBSE has created 3 categories for participants. The categories are formed on the basis of the class in which a student is studying, Students belonging to classes 1 to 5, classes 6 to 8 and classes 9 to 12 can participate in their respective categories and submit either an essay, poem or drawing.

Topics for the series (all related to Dr. Ambedkar) have been uploaded on the site. The essay and poem can be submitted in any of the 22 scheduled languages and also in English.

Students should submit their entries (essay, poem or drawing) between 9 am to 9 pm on Wednesday and Thursday.

36 best entries, 12 in each category will be awarded with Rs 2,500 and a certificate of merit.

Parameters to select best entries:

All the participants will be issued with a certificate of participation. Best entries will be selected on the basis of originality of content and creative expression. Students may also be contacted on phone to ascertain the originality of the entry submitted.

Students must ensure that their work is not copied. Plagiarism check may be done and the entry will be liable to disqualification if found plagiarised.

  • Students can submit their entries online
  • Students can also click a picture, scan their entries and send it through the mobile app, numbers for which are available on the official CBSE site
