Although the results were declared earlier, some candidates had applied for grievance redressal in their marking. Now the new set of results have been released. When was CBSE UGC NET 2016 held?
The exam was held on 10 July 2016 and applications for the same were accepted in April- May 2016.
What about the NET 2017?
This year the Board will not conduct July session NET exam. The Board had released the notification for November exam after two months of delay. After CSBE had notified November dates for CBSE UGC NET, aspirants and students organisations expressed their anger against the move to curtail the bi annual examination to a yearly event. Aspirants and students organisations lashed out their anger in a war of words against the move.

Detailed notification for CBSE UGC NET November 2017 will be released on 24 July and application process will begin on 1 August.
About CBSE UGC NET
According to the CBSE official website, on behalf of UGC, the Central Board of Secondary Education announces holding of the National Eligibility Test (NET) on 22nd January 2017 for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian Universities and Colleges. CBSE will conduct NET in 84 subjects at 90 selected NET Examination Cities spread across the country.
