The results for UGC NET 2016 has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday. The results are available in the official website of CBSE.

 

Steps to check CBSE UGC NET 2016 results:

  • Visit www.cbseresults.nic.in
  • On the homepage, click the CBSE - UGC NET EXAMINATION - July 2016 link
  • A log in page appears asking details of candidates such as roll number and date of birth appears. Enter the details
  • Click Submit
  • The result will be displayed. Save it in your computer and take a print out for future reference.
CBSE UGC NET 2016 Exam Results Released

Held on 10 July 2016, the exam was conducted in 88 cities and on August 28, it was held in Srinagar.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on November 21 declared the University Grants Commission's (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) July 2016 results.

UGC NET tests the eligibility of candidates who are Indian Nationals for the post of Assistant Professor or acquire Junior Research Fellowship.

Candidates who have been declared eligible for the Junior Research Fellowship can do research in the subject of their postgraduation or in a related subject and are also eligible to apply for the post of an assistant professor in Indian universities and colleges.

However, the award of JRF and eligibility for assistant professor's post depends on the performance of the candidate in all the three papers of NET. Inspite of this, candidates qualifying exclusively for an assistant professor are not considered for JRF.

NET examination is conducted two times in a year to select candidates for Assistant Professor/Lecturer and for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) in colleges and universities across the country.

UGC-Net has three papers. Candidate need to clear cut-off in each of the papers and additionally the cumulative cut-off to qualify.
