CBSE Pays Tribute To APJ Abdul Kalam, Announces Expression Series

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to pay tribute to missile man and most loved President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on his birthday on October 15 by taking ahead their participatory expressions series to pay tribute to great leaders.

 

Through this programme, CBSE students can submit essay/poem/drawing on either of the three topics 'Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's school days and how it influenced me'; 'Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam: the father of India's Missile Programme' and 'You have to dream before your dreams can come true.", said Dr. Kalam. "As an endeavour to pay tribute to the educationist, scientist, missile man and the People's President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on his birthday on 15th October, the Central Board of Secondary Education announces CBSE Expression Series on Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam on 15th October 2015," stated the circular issued by CBSE joint secretary D T Sudharsan Rao.

CBSE Pays Tribute To APJ Abdul Kalam

The competition is open for all CBSE students in three categories: Class 1 to 5, Class 6 to 8 and Class 9 and 10. According to the circular, best 36 entries will be given a prize of Rs 2,500 and each student will get merit and participation certificate.

The students can participate through their schools and can also send their entries online through the official website. Meanwhile, Maharashtra government has also announced 'No School Bag Day' for students of class 3 to 6 to celebrate Dr. Kalam's birthday.
