Bihar State Staff Selection Commission(BWSSC) examination scheduled for Sunday has been cancelled due to the paper leak on Social media.
Earlier today, a top official arrested in connection with a Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BWSSC) paper leak. BWSSC to hold a fresh examination as the Chief Minister has cancelled the exams.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said all four phases of the examination for the posts of Panchayath secretary, Revenue workers, Clerks and Assistant posts has been cancelled.
Leaked paper of BWSSC for clerk jobs was available online before the start of examination on February 5, 2017.
First two phase of the preliminary test were held on January 19, 2017, & February 15, 2017. Two more phases were due on February 19, 2017, & February 26, 2017. "Based on a report of Chief Secretary Anjali Kumar Singh and DGP P K Thakur, we have decided to cancel examination and hold it afresh and date would be announced later," said Nitish.
The announcement came after the Patna Zone Inspector General of Police N H Khan arrested BWSSC Secretary Parameshwar Ram had been arrested along with the data entry operator Avinash Kumar and sent to Judicial custody for further questioning.
Earlier, a Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing the case, searched Ram's residence and questioned him and five BWSSC founders as they found some important documents and property papers after a search at Ram's residence.
The Chief Minister had ordered the chief Secretary and DGP PK Thakur to probe the allegations despite constant denial by BWSSC top brass.
