British Council, Scotland, invites applications for its Scottish Universities' International Summer School (SUISS). The Council will select three students for this scholarship, the progamme will provide the in-depth knowledge about the literature and creative writing skills. This programme is for the students who belong to Commonwealth countries.
The programme will offer three courses on British and Irish literature from 1,900 to the present and another course in creative writing.
Examination of theoretical approaches to modernism, Scottish and contemporary literature.
Creative writing course:
To enhance students' personal writing portfolio.

They are a non-departmental public body. They receive a grant-in-aid from the UK Government through the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, but they operate independently.
In Scotland, they consult with an advisory committee to inform the areas of work they are involved in.
