The Minister Human Resource Department (HRD), New Delhi has introduced a Bridge Course for the Indian Students, who have passed their Master's programme from any of the Universities in UK.
HRD Minister, Dr. M.M. Pallam Raju, had participated in the Education World Forum at London from 20th-22nd January, 2014.
He also held bilateral meetings with Hon Rt. David Willets, Minister of Universities and Science, UK and Hon Mathews Hancock, Minister of Skills and Enterprise.
One of the announcements made by Hon'ble Minister of Human Resource Development was regarding the initiation of a bridge course for the Indian students who are passing one year Masters Programme from the Universities in UK.
One year Master Degrees obtained by Indian students from a duly recognised University in U.K., which is duly accredited by the nationally recognized accrediting agency will be accorded equivalence, subject to fulfillment of the eligibility conditions .
Eligibility conditions:
Students who have obtained one year Master Degree, in the field of Engineering, Management, Humanities, Science and Social Science and have displayed academic performance at par with the Grade Point of ‘B' will be allowed to undertake a Bridge Course of Six Months duration provided they are in possession of 3 year Conventional Degree i.e. B.A / B.Sc / B.Com.
These students will be entitled to enroll themselves in one of the UGC identified universities for Bridge Course .
