Biocon Ltd is all set to open Biocon Academy

Biocon Ltd. Largest and Asia's leading biotechnology company is establishing 'Biocon Academy', a center of excellence for advanced learning in applied bio-sciences that aims to train and groom industry ready-talent for India's biopharma sector and enable global competitiveness.

Biocon Academy's flagship program (Biocon KGI Certificate Program in Biosciences) is a 16-week, full time program being offered in collaboration with the Keck Graduate Institute (KGI), Southern California. KGI is the only American graduate institution dedicated exclusively to biosciences education and discovery and is recognised globally for its pioneering Professional Science Master's program.

The certificate program will take advantage of Biocon's industrial presence and KGI's academic strength and offer the best of both of the program's participants. The course offers 9 modules: Molecular Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Development, Biopharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Control, CMC Regulations of Pharmaceutical, Introduction to US FDA and European Laws and Regulations, Fermentation Principals, Mammalian Cell Biotechnology, Bioseparation Engineering and Science and Professional Skills Development.

Biocon plans to offer a 75% scholarship in the course fee to meritorious students. It will also assist students to obtain study loans for reputed banks for the course fee. The course will open up job opportunities at Biocon and other companies of the world.
