Bengaluru students honored: International Academic Wiz felicitation

Bengaluru, February 12: International Academic Wiz, IAW, felicitated students from Bengaluru who were champions of the zonal talent test conducted by IAW.

 

Over 143 Schools and more than 30,000 students from class 8, 9 and 10 participated from Bengaluru in the talent test. After the successful completion of two rigorous rounds of tests, 60 students have emerged winners. Around One lakh students had appeared for the test conducted by IAW Foundation, in the last few months, across the country.

The felicitation ceremony held today at Yavanika Auditorium witnessed a festive atmosphere.A happy and rejoicing crowd with a mix of students and teachers were seen celebrating their proud moment.The toppers were presented with laptops, tablets and watches among other exciting mementos.

Dr. Sridhar G, Founder Deeksha Network and the chief guest for the event said, "There will be times in life when you fall flat on your face. But unless you fail/fall flat you would never know your ability to get up and leap forward. Every child has a lot of aspirations, but it is the right attitude to bounce back when you fall, that will build resilience. Resilience is a must to be a winner. "

Ms. Gayathri a proud mother of rank 1 holder Sumanth Varambally from Sarvodaya National Public School said "I am very happy his hard work has paid off, and looking forward to securing high percentage in SSLC Board exam, this achievement for sure will boost his morale. It was unfortunate he could not receive the award himself because he was attending another exam"

Anirudh from JSS public school, Banashankari and Vanya B.K from Dayanand Sagar High school shared 2nd rank in the class 10 category. "I feel great. I believe such exams are very much required because they make you use your brains. You would mug-up for your regular tests, but its exams like these that help you think better." When asked about what she wants to become in life, she happily and confidently said that she aims to get into NASA.

Additionally, IAW also awarded the top 9 schools in the city with high powered telescopes for the performance of their students in the exam. An elated Ms. Mala Bhargav, Senior Coordinator from, Vidya Shilp said "I believe such tests or exams outside the regular academic domain are very much essential for student's overall excellence. In fact, we push our students to utililze all such platforms available. We look forward to see many more of our students attending IAW."

Poorna Pragna High School - Sadashivnagar, Poorna Pragna High School - Thippasandra and Cambridge Public School (ICSE) - HSR Layout won accolades for best performance in the class 8 category.

Award for overall school performance in the class 9 category were bagged by Vidyashilp Academy (ICSE)-Yelahanka, Kendriya Vidyalaya - Hebbal and HAL Public School.

In class 10 category, schools with top performing students were awarded to Kendriya Vidyala -NAL, Sri Vani Education Centre - Machohally and The New Cambridge High School - Vijayanagar.
