The Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) from Manav Rachna International University (MRIU) has been felicitated with ASSOCHAM - Education Excellence Award 2013 for the ‘Best engineering campus in North India for promoting Research'.
The Award function was organised by ASSOCHAM in association with Education Post, to honour those institutions who have contributed significantly in the field of improving the quality in education delivery with emphasis on world-class research and innovations and enhancing the development of quality education.
The award categories included Best management institute in corporate relations, Leader in the family business and Entrepreneurship, Best management institute for Impact Potential, to name a few.
The occasion was graced by dignitaries like Bhagyesh Soneji (Chairperson, ASSOCHAM- Gujarat Council), Shri Bhupendrasinh M. Chudasma (Honorable Minister of Education, Government of Gujarat), Mr Braj Kishor Gupta (Consulting Editor and Advisor - The Education Post). (R)Col V.K. Gaur (VSM), Advisor - Manav Rachna Educational Institutions received the award on behalf of Manav Rachna International University.
Commenting on the recent accomplishment, Shri Prashant Bhalla - Chancellor, Manav Rachna International University said "The award is a true translation of the vision of Late Dr. O.P. Bhalla. We at Manav Rachna believe in real innovation and this kind of awards act as a motivation". A total of 16 players who won awards were present on the occasion, FORE School of management, NTPC Limited, Institute of Rural Management (IRMA), and the likes.
MRIU's focus is on growth through Innovation and Technical Education. MRIU renews its focus on R&D and academic excellence with 25 filed patents and 2500 published research papers in International and National Journals.
MRIU has won accolades at various platforms be it SUPRA SAE COMPETITION (Won best Innovation award for design of rear suspension of Formula Type Car), Imagine Cup 2011 (Won the grand prize at national level for Pregna Care System), Intel Embedded Challenge Imagine Cup in 2011(Won Gold Medal at National Level for Tractrobot) to name a few. Other innovative projects include the Smart Bin, Smart Skull, Pick and Place Robot, Pills Box etc.
The Manav Rachna Innovation and Incubation Centre has been initiated within the University which is a unique achievement which would encourage research and innovative ideas at Manav Rachna.
