AMU will conduct a workshop BERT 2014

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), will conduct a workshop on Biomedical Engineering and its recent trends (BERT) 2014. Biosignal research division was formed to concentrate on the signal processing of biomedical signals. The major research emphasis is on the analyses of physiological signals specifically ECG, EEG and EMG signals. Few major research projects from UGC, UPCST, DBT in collaboration with institutes such as AIIMS, IIT Delhi has contributed to the research output. A small dedicated group of teaching staff from different branches of Engineering has worked together and successfully published papers in conferences and journals. The division has recording and analysing facilities for EEG, EMG, ECG signals.

Ergonomics Research Division:

Ergonomic Laboratory at AMU was established about 40 years ago in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology. Since that time Ergonomics is a part of curriculum of B Tech (Mechanical Engineering) programme and especially a core research area at M Tech (Industrial and Production Engineering) and PhD level. The Ergonomics course and Laboratory was founded by a small dedicated group is involved in research activities in the areas of HCI, Noise & Vibration, Illumination, Environmental Effects, WMSDs, RSI, Tools design, rehabilitation etc. In 2009 Ergonomics research division was established and conducted a very successful all India conference on Ergonomics for improved productivity.
