All India Pre-Medical / Dental Test (AIPMT) exam in Manipur is overseen by the state Health Directorate officials for the year 2014.
While CBSE will provide the application forms and question papers, the procuring of question papers, preparing examination centres, selection of invigilators and conducting the test is done by the respective state officials.
The CBSE conducted National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test 2013 (NEET) in Manipur, for admissions into undergraduate (UG) medical courses.
The question papers were received by a bank and examinations were held in science colleges, with science teachers acting as the invigilators. Thereafter, a significant increase in the number of successful candidates led to the notion that unfair means could have been adopted.
To overcome any doubts, AIPMT 2014 will be administered by the state Health Directorate directly.
Health Directorate officials will procure the CBSE AIPMT 2014 question papers, select exam centres and also select invigilators.
Arts colleges will be given first preference as exam centres and science colleges will be the last choice for exam centres. Science teachers will not be given the role of invigilators. Experts from Health Directorate agree that the exam procedure will be more meticulous if other officials aid CBSE in conducting entrance tests and not leave the entire pressure to CBSE alone.
CBSE is all set to conduct AIPMT 2014 exam on 04th May 2014 across the country.
