Delhi Government receives one lakh nursery admission forms

The availability of seat is 31,000 seats for nursery admission in private school under economically weaker section category.

It's school time again! Nursery classes provide a foundation for learning both academically and socially that will help the child to groom and succeed in their elementary school. Preschool promotes language, cognitive skills, social and emotional development.

 

Parents always dream of getting their children placed in good schools but it is a daunting task has they do not want to spend days filling out applications. To make the process simple and easier way the Delhi government has initiated online application system.

Online applications for nursery admissions: Delhi

The Delhi government has received online admission forms for the nursery. The availability of seat is 31,000 seats for nursery admission in private school under economically weaker section category.
The competition for nursery admission in over 1,500 private schools began early in the National Capital.

The online application system has been introduced last year when the education department received 70,000 applicants against 29,000 seats. In 2017, the Delhi government has received 1.6 lakh online applications against a total of 31,000 seats in around 1,500 private schools under EWS category.

The education department has received around 1000 applications each for 50 schools.

How does it work?

  • The first list will come out on 16 February 2017 or 17 February 2017.
  • The last date of registration under EWS category is 14 February 2017.
  • Admissions to 25 percent seats reserved in nursery admission of Delhi private school for EWS category and Disadvantaged Groups [DG] categories had started on 10 January 2017.
  • Parents whose child's name will come in the first list, they will have to get the admission process done in schools.

Atishi Marlena, an adviser to Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that this year 2017, the education department has prepared a list of private schools based on GPS mapping. So that the parents can figure out the schools which are nearly located in their locations.
