Calcutta University invites applications for Ph.D in Political Science

Department of Archeology, University of Calcutta, Kolkata, invites applications for admission to Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Political Science programme, commencing in 2013-14.

Admissions will be on the basis of the test, of one hour duration followed by an interview of the selected candidates. The date for the interview will be notified to the candidates.

Eligibility

Candidates should have a passed Post Graduate degrees in Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences or Physical Sciences with 55% marks from any UGC recognised university.

How to apply:

The candidate should download the form from the University's website and submit the same along with the application fee of Rs. 100. The applicants should submit the following supporting documents (photocopied) along with the application :

1. Mark sheets of all examinations
2. NET/SET certificate (if any)
3. M.Phil certificate (if any)

Selection Procedure:

Candidates will be selected based on written test score and personal interview conducted by the university.

Please Note:

Candidates who already cleared the NET / SET / SLET / GATE / Teacher Fellowship / equivalent examination, or passed the M. Phil / M. Tech / equivalent examination, need to appear at the interview directly, skipping the written test.

Last Date of submission of application forms: 10th January, 2014

Date of admission (written) test: 1th February, 2014

Tentative date of commencement of course work: 1st April, 2014
