Applications are invited for B.Des and MA courses

Ansal university, Gurgaon, invites applications for its B.Des and MA in Designing program for the academic year 2014. Students can apply online by logging on to the official website of the university.

The Bachelors in Design program offered by the School of Designing a department of Ansal university, begins with a foundation year where the students are exposed to the multi-faceted world of the designer and the diverse skills that need to be developed for pursuing a career in design. The First Year (Foundation) program is an introduction to concept development, technique, critical discussion and expression. Students develop a set of basic design skills and are introduced to methods of application.

The program trains students to evolve a distinct design approach and to develop a holistic attitude to the creative industries that they will choose to inhabit as professionals. Students apply their training in creative thinking and making to various mediums of expression and materials for construction, including textiles, ceramics, metal, wood, paper, canvas, board and natural materials. Students undergo a continuous learning process that culminates in the creation of a final design project at the end of four years. This project is expected to represent the acquired knowledge and skills of each student.

  • B.Des-FT (Fashion & Textile) - 4 years 
  • B.Des-VC (Visual Communication) - 4 years 
  • B.Des-ID (Interior Design) - 4 years 
  • B.Des-PD (Product Design) - 4 years 
  • MA-Des - 2 years


50% marks in aggregate at 10+2 (any stream)

Admission procedure:

  • 10+2 marks : 60%
  • Personal Interview: 20%
  • Portfolio/ Test : 20%
