The result of the Kerala state SSLC / THSLC / Class 10th board examination for the year 2014 has been declared.
A record of 95.47% of students cleared the Kerala SSLC / THSLC board examination 2014.
A total of 4,42,678 students took the examination in March 2014.
In 2013, 94.17% students passed the examination. There is an increase by 1.3% compared to last year.
Girls posted a higher pass percentage of 96.53 when compared to boys, who secured 94.44%. Out of the 416 candidates who wrote the examination in the Gulf region, 413 are eligible for higher studies. In Lakshadweep, the success rate was 76.5 per cent.
In the private stream, 2,666 out of 4,534 candidates cleared the examination, clocking a pass percentage of 62.81.
Around 96.49% of students cleared the Technical High School Leaving Certificate (THSLC) and 99.17% of students cleared SSLC (hearing impaired) examination.
Kannur district has been placed first with the highest pass percentage of 98.27. Pallakkd has been placed last with a pass percentage of 91.28.
Malappuram district had the highest number of students who secured A+ grade.
A total of 934 schools - including 281 government schools, 367 aided schools and 286 unaided schools - recorded a success rate of 100 per cent.
