73,920 candidates registered for TANCET 2014

The filling up the online application form for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) has been closed.

According to an official website, around 73,920 candidates have been registered for TANCET 2014 entrance exam.

TANCET 2014 exam is the qualifying entrance exam conducted for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Application (MCA), Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Engineering (ME), Master in Architecture (M.Arch) and Master in Planning (M.Plan) courses, commencing in 2014.

TANCET 2014 Online Application Form Status

A total of 27,750 candidates for MBA course, 11,862 candidates for MCA course and 37,906 candidates for M.E course have been registered for TANCET 2014 exam.

Overall 48.90% candidates have been registered for M.E course, 35.80% of candidates have been registered for MBA course and 15.30% of candidates have been registered for MCA course.

The city wise number of candidates registered for TANCET 2014 is;

1. Chennai: 21,230 candidates.
2. Coimbatore: 10,176 candidates
3. Chidambaram: 1,596 candidates
4. Dindigul: 1,928 candidates
5. Erode: 4,070 candidates
6. Karaikudi: 1,448 candidates
7. Madurai: 4,665 candidates
8. Nagercoil: 2,516 candidates
9. Salem: 6,034 candidates
10. Thanjavur: 3,260 candidates
11. Tirunelveli: 3,586 candidates
12. Tiruchirappalli: 5,613 candidates
13. Vellore: 3,688 candidates
14. Villupuram: 2,366 candidates
15. Virudhunagar: 1,744 candidates
