5.7 lakh candidates appeared for AIPMT 2014

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, had conducted the All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Test (AIPMT 2014) on 04th May 2014.

 

A total of 5,79,604 candidates out of 6,16,982 appeared for the AIPMT examination.

Around 3,21,322 candidates were female and 2,58,282 candidates were male.

More than 70,000 students from Maharashtra state alone, registered for AIPMT.

AIPMT examination was held from 10 AM to 1 PM. The paper contained 180 multiple choice questions in the paper of 720 marks.

AIPMT 2014 is the qualifying entrance examination which was conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS courses across the country.

According to the students, AIPMT examination was moderate in difficulty.

A student from Mumbai, Gaurav said, "The Physics paper was difficult. It was tougher and lengthier than compared to last year. For me 15% of questions were very difficult and 60% of questions were moderate in difficult. Chemistry was easy and Biology paper had some tricky questions".

A student from Bangalore Praneetha said, "Overall AIPMT paper was average in difficult. Physics was okay. But Chemistry was easier. I found some 10 to 15 tough questions in Biology paper."

A student from Chennai Aravind said, "AIPMT examination paper was moderate in difficulty. But, in biology paper they have asked out of syllabus questions".

AIPMT 2014 examination was conducted for admission to 15% of seats in government medical colleges across India.
