364 schools owe several crores to parents as excess school fee charged since 2009. These schools will now face the action of Delhi government.
Armed with a Delhi high court directive last week, the state's department of education is finalizing a list of these institutions that refused to refund the money despite being named by a judicial panel formed by HC.
According to sources, the government might end its recognition to the schools as a final step if they remain defiant, as they have been indicted by Justice Anil Dev Singh led committee.
Till now the committee, headed by former Rajasthan HC Chief Justice Anil Dev Singh has examined the financial records of 741 private schools in the city and zeroed in on 364 for unjustified fee hike.
In all of its reports the committee has recommended these schools to refund the excess fees they charged from parents of students in 2009 with interest.
