Bharath University scores third prize at the AUTCUP 2013

It is a great privilege to Bharath University that its students have worked hard to reach third place in 'Service Delivery League' at the AUTCUP-2013, which was held at Tehran-Iran from 29th October to 1st of November, 2013.

The team had five brilliant students who put all their efforts in the Humanoid League, Rescue League and Service Delivery League. They proudly stand at the third place, after being chosen from 100 teams including the international teams, who participated in the AUTCUP-2013.

The AUTCUP-2013 was organised by the Amirkabir University of Technology. Bharath University is the only Indian university selected for the final rounds of the event.

The winning team comprised of Mr. Dileep, Mr. Yukesh, Mr. Muzamil, Mr. Mohit and Mr. Vijaykumar headed by Mr. Jaishankar Bharathraj, Founder of Robin.

Jaishankar Bharathraj, Founder of Robin said, "Robotics Team at Bharath University is continuously working on designing multi terrain vehicle with advanced technologies and has also discussed with the organisers of the competition for collaborations."

"The Robotics team will soon be collaborating with top varsities and research centres in Europe, Australia and New Zealand for it research in Multi Terrain Vehicle and Humanoid Robot projects," he added.

Mr. Sundeep Aanand, Chancellor of Bharath University congratulated the students and said, "We are immensely happy and proud of our students who have taken Bharath University and India a global platform and would like to congratulate them on their performance."

"Further, I would like to encourage students to undertake research in robotics for its excellent mix of technology and creativity," he added.
